First of all, heartfelt thanks for all of your warm thoughts and prayers for my boy Milo.

I have to keep this brief because I am beyond devastated and ask for more of whatever you can send to my Milo.

He was diagnosed not only with a kidney infection, but now a fatal condition called "Dry FIP" Feline Infectious Peritonitis. The kidney infection is secondary to this insidious disease.

I am doing everything I can to help save him. He is only 23 months old, still just a baby. He apparently became infected with this virus in the shelter where he came from. He goes Monday for an ultrasound to see what is inside of him. There is a 'wet' and a 'dry' form of FIP. The 'good news' is that the 'dry' form is easier to deal with. There is a drug that 'might' be available and I'll learn more about that on Monday.

If my tears could heal my boy, he would be 100% well today. I'm still wrapping my head and my heart around all of this. I want to scream and hit something! I cannot bring myself to even think I'm going to lose him. I can't.

So hearts, anything you have, please send to my Milo as we go into this scary journey. I may not be here much for awhile but will try to check in as I can. You all deserve updates for your collective kindness to him and to me.

    awww...i won't start about shelters..but yes i think its better to save a pet from a shelter..way too many in shelters needing good homes..but i guess there's always a chance of something..from breeders or shelters..

    Bless you for saving one from a shelter..he's getting a fighting chance..

    I've never heard of that FIP before..but i havent owned a cat in a long time..my willy didn't like cats.
