Hearts,

Her name is Karen and she is my best and closest friend of nearly 30+ years. She is truly more of a sister to me. She is awaiting the results of her recent ultrasound, CAT scan and MRI. So far they have diagnosed her with a "mass" on her adrenal gland. She would care not that I am asking for prayers on her behalf. She would cherish them and I would to.

I hired Karen so many years ago. She is one of those kind of "feel good" people. Our patients truly loved her. She can make you laugh on a day when there is nothing to laugh about. She lost her brother the same year I lost mine. We are still grieving together, each for the other.

When her brother was in a cardiac rehab center, I remember always hating that place because before it was a rehab center, it was almost like a Hospice center. That is where my brother had been. I didn't hesitate jumping up to grab my keys and flying up there to be with her, even if it meant staying all night with her. I stopped and picked up "dinner" from Arby's for us, and we sat in the lobby and just ate in pretty much silence. We just let our hearts do the talking.

I'm asking for your prayers, good thoughts, and anything you can spare for her as she navigates through these troubled waters. I have no idea when she will get her results but I will update as soon as I can.
