    What item would you miss most if an airline lost your luggage?

      In the immortal words of Lewis Carroll,

      There was one who was famed for the number of things
      He forgot when he entered the ship:
      His umbrella, his watch, all his jewels and rings,
      And the clothes he had bought for the trip.

      He had forty-two boxes, all carefully packed,
      With his name painted clearly on each:
      But, since he omitted to mention the fact,
      They were all left behind on the beach.

      Hmmmm, probably the luggage itself. Mine are quite sturdy.

      I would miss the luggage most.
      The clothes are replaceable and my vibrator and jewelry are in my small carry-on.

      However, it has been over a decade since I flew anywhere and I do not plan to fly anywhere again ... you never know, but it would take a major family change to get me on a plane now.

      polly: I admire you, a defender of public education, trainer and lover of dogs and your husband, he helps; the only reason I have not responded to your trip talk inquiries is that, they trigger field trip memories, D.C., Nashville, and supervising fifty teenagers is traumatic. I've come close to losing a few kids, four they were hiking the wrong path toward the biggest trees in the park, would have come out on Appalachian Trail, bus driver was funny, said his bus was going to be on channel ten news out of Knoxville.

      Other time was in D.C. Lost a kid near Ford's theater, had some boys go jogging around the block, then widen out one, found the dang crazy kid, and I know their parents will miss them soooo, brought him back, anyway;

      I don't fly much, but if they lost my clothes, I hope I'm on a nude beach in France maybe, they don't like us as much as they used to, and I can't speak French, but, okay, naked on the beach in France, still got my wallet.
