State Plate is the name of the program I've been watching on Tubi this week.

It's about the produce of each of the United States, and what is grown/harvested, almost exclusively in each state. Of course there is some overlapping of produce, especially in the seafood ... but regional recipes differ. I am learning a lot, and find the history input quite interesting. Some of the "plates" they end up with are a little weird, but that is because they work with what that particular state has to offer, and sometimes nutritional balance doesn't fall into what some states offer. The state that made me laugh was Nevada ... but I won't say why. *wink*

Interesting; it's concerning that over 80% of US farmland grows just two crops; corn and soybeans. South Carolina grows more peaches than Georgia I think, and I hope TN is known for uh, blackberries?!!!!
