While in college, often late at night, the guy in the room next door would play the Byrds loud, and I'm thinking there is a time to sleep and a time to die. Nah, he was a good dude, taught me Ecclesiates.

Last day of May; made a new folder for June pics; it's amazing what a month will do.

    Garden first week of May.

    Today.

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life.

And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.

Greaaaat! the "gift of God!" I love biblical scripture that forties my inclinations. There is some controversy over who wrote Eccesiastes, but I'm going with Solomon; I'll always remember this ditty Dad told me, "King Solomon and King David lived merry, merry lives; with many, many lady friends and many many wives, but when old age crept over them; with many, many qualms, King Solomon wrote the Proverbs and King David wrote the Psalms"

Cleome from seed, volunteer, and those pink petals, soooo much like the fan of a burlesque dancer; I'm glad King David's buddies threw Abishag in his bed late in life, to warm the cockles of his heart.

Wag your tail, find your pigs ear; Solomon and Otis recommend it.

Panurge I am probably the last person you should ask what God's will is. That is WAY above my pay grade.

Hello Kenneth; happy June; Ecclesiates is a beautiful book.

bell; I'm glad you dress up for church, patent leathers are pretty snazzy; swinging them under the pews shows you are NOT concentrating on the scripture! Okay, I do look around now and then during prayer, and I think the lord leads me to do it too, to check on who is truly devout!

Your sense of smell is acute; I do not speak Hebrew or know anyone that does; alas, when I peek at the bowed heads the lord leads me to interpret; is it his will?

patent leathers swinging beneath a pew Panurge I know that you were looking around at the other parishioners while they had their heads bowed. Exhales I believe I was compelled to check by OUR LORD.

a delicate sniff I don't believe you can translate from original Hebrew and the intimation that Abishag's mouth was perpetually full as an explanation for a reliance on hearsay is just what you'd expect from a prayer peeker.

belle: After doing considerable research, translating from original Hebrew texts, the character of Abishag begins to emerge. She was considered very DESIRABLE by the thiry men that made up King David's personal bodyguard and was renown for her prowess in bed, being well endowed yet surprisingly limber. He devotion to Israel was paramount and she was thrilled to be join the aging king in his bed. She had heard stories of when he danced naked in front on the Ark of the Covenant while bringing it into Jersualem. Her goal, to the greater glory, was to "stir the blood" of King David, and she did not speak because her mouth was occupied.

Pepin: dang right, toil and weather; We've been blessed with ample rain.

It has been stated by renowed and reliable historians, that Solomon's wives were not for "ornament" but for "use"

The two garden pictures are a tribute to good, peaceful toil and weather.

If Solomon was the smartest person in the Old Testament, if he had 700 wives and 300 concubines, why did he go to sleep with the fathers?
