So, am actually thinking of taking My first trip to Disney World next yearCan anyone recommend a hotel based on experience?
asks here because this community has awesome tastes
Thank Y/you to A/all that replied!Your advice was very helpful and encouraged Me to book an on site property. We have 6 people going, so we decided on a value resort (Pop Century), so that we can splurge on things like dinning and souvenirs.
Thanks again community!
leaves hugs for those that want 'em
There are ways to do DW on some semblance of a budget, but you can also have some semblance of a SPLURGE by staying ONE night at a hotel like the Grand Victorian.
Just go for it! :)

Have fun! Disney World Orlando was a blast!
We stayed in the park at Tiki Village (still there? I don't know). They had a monorail that ran through the place and took you anywhere you wanted to go in the park.
I agree with polly! The Orlando one was wonderful when I was there years ago. Guessing it still is!
If you are staying on Disney property, a good mid-price choice is Port Orleans Riverside, or the French Quarter. Disney Springs (no charge for admission) is nearby for tons of shopping and places to eat. Of course, there are the parks.I've been to Disney World at least once a year since 1989.
Hyatt Regency grand cypress orlando is a person favorite
it's sooooooo pretty and You can swim everywhere
a lot of art, bronze , 3 or 5 grand pianos stuff in various places
Plants everywhere, like being outdoors when You come in doors
If you want to stay in the park, I liked Coronado Springs Resort, Port Orleans, and the Grand Floridian. I also highly recommend in-the-park hotels. My sister likes camping and raves about the Fort Wilderness Resort. If you want outside the park, I've stayed at the Gaylord a couple times. Not too far out and has nice amenities.
We highly recommend staying right in the park. So much is included in the package deals, you actually spend less and get more time having fun, instead of driving back and forth and parking hassle. There is free shuttle service that runs from opening of the attractions to closing. The family accommodations have kitchens so you save on restaurant costs too. If you're a Costco member, check out their package deals!
