After the last eclipse I really got the notion to get a solar filter for my little telescope. It's not a big telescope, I've posted about it here, before, but it's "handy" so I actually use it, rather than letting it sit in the corner because it's a PITA to set it up.Anyway, I got a solar filter membrane for my birthday and I finally got around to making the filter. It's just cardboard, spray adhesive and a lot of masking tape, but it's pretty solid. I wore latex gloves while I put it together so I didn't get skin oils on it.
It's smoky here, today....see cory{BI}'s earlier post about the fire near her home. I live pretty far from her but the wind is bringing it down this way. Hopefully it'll clear up in a few days and I can get a look.
Glad the smoke cleared, for all sorts of reasons.
Toys!
This is too cool!
I know you are and will have a blast!
nothing like new toys to play with.....have fun Bro
Works GREAT. The smoke blew over so I dragged it out and put it on the patio table...saw sunspots!
I'd show photos but I've never gotten the iphone adapter to work for beans.
It’s a good thing to look to the heavens and see what’s up there.
Lucky guy....make me drool.
Happy viewing!
Pretty snazzy set up you got there; hope you get some great pictures.
How interesting .. I'd love to see pictures, if you can hook it up to it.
