    I went on a hike today and wow...wildflowers everywhere. Ithuriels Spear, buncha clarkia, blue-eyed grass, globe lillies (love those!)..a few checkered lillies still left in the shady spots, blue, white and yellow lupine, a few mariposa lillies on the bare rocky spots... it was a beautiful day, so I had to share with Gioia. *wink*

    There were a zillion checkerspot butterflies, especially all over a huge thicket of thistles by the turtle pond. I also spotted a couple of California Sisters, a Red Admiral (Yayy!) a couple of pale swallowtails, and an orange tip butterfly along the little creek.

    My brain is happier after today!
