BIVOUAC

Three RV's. Three campsites. Four couples. One boat. It's ours and I named it "Fuelin' Around." Some things she just has to get used to with me.

The Leonards and Klenow's left mid-morning to drive into town to go shopping. Go figure. We all rent our sites the same weekend at Maplewood State Park nine months in advance and drive three hours to get here -- and they want to abandon the idyllic setting to buy cheap, knock-off Native American trinkets shipped over from Vietnam. The Harnisch-Bertram pairing have gone hiking -- a euphemism for walking hurriedly 30 minutes on the trail, finding a mosquito-free clearing and repeating what we can all hear coming from their RV every night.

That means we have the boat to ourselves. "What should we do tonight?" I ask innocently enough. It's past noon so that's close enough to 5 o'clock and I'm mixing us some margaritas.

She lifts her arms. Doesn't say a thing.

"What?" I ask. She simply maintains the pose and gives me 'that look' over her shoulder. Slowly it dawns on me what she's trying to say non-verbally. The lacing on the back of her suit is almost identical to the start of the chest harness I tie on her for nearly every bondage position I create.

"We'll... uh... have to ask the Klenow's to sleep in someone else's RV tonight, honey... "

She turns further and smiles to coo just before diving in: "Not necessarily."

Dammit. This spilled margarita mixer is going to be sticky on the deck until I wipe it up.
