Actually, a couple of them, because they aren't happy alone. They live in a tank and I think they need live bugs to eat, or something.Does anyone know more about them? I'm serious.

salamander species
Anyone, I'm sorry I didn't get around to this sooner! THANK YOU for the links!
Sounds like a handful.
What Anna said.I intend to look at the possibilities.
Not everyone is aware that they are endangered. Guess what, expressing curiosity and interest is good. People can learn. They can do research. Also, pet Axolotls are bred in captivity. They are not taken from the wild, and if you see, “wild type,” it’s referring to color.Wouldn’t it be lovely if instead of being negative and taking the opportunity to be nasty, you informed… you educated? 🤔
Why would you own a critically endangered animal? Unless you one of those people that doesn't give a shit.
Axolotls are actually solitary creatures. They are better off alone, as they can be cannibalistic. Also, they aren’t easy to take care of. You have to keep the tank immaculately clean. And their food is rather expensive. I wanted them myself, but I already have two cats and a beagle, and they are expensive. Basically, I’m already at my responsible pet parent limit. 😊

I realize you said you are serious but unless you find someone here that is an expert on whatever those are, look for a website devoted to whatever those are.

Easy to care for, this species requires minimal maintenance and makes a great pet for both the young and old. Axolotl fact: Axolotls' possess the ability to completely regrow lost limbs and other body parts such as tails and, brain and heart cells.

Okay. Well, I wouldn't want them in an environment where they wouldn't be happy.
Please read more about them...they're not especially good pets.
