We never made it out of the house yesterday...just plain crashed...nap...nuzzle...nap...mutter...nap...

We tried to kock out a few chores this morning...even though it's been getting hot out there...it's supposed to break the record of 97...but that's the highest i've seen in my area...

We're finally clean...AC is set for 85 to not burn out the machine...

and we're off to the coast...find that restaurant for fish & chips...then hang out at the coast until it gets too cold...or the sun sets...whichever comes first...it's a LOT cooler out there...

In the early morning we open all the screened windows and doors and let the cool morning air breeze through the house. By 9:30 - 10:00, when the sun is higher, we close everything up, including drapes and curtain to keep out the heat of the sun, and the house stays pretty comfortable the rest of the day. It is only on really, really hot days the air conditioning kicks in.
Actually, the dehumidifier kicks in more often than the ac.

Hope you enjoyed your day trip to the coast ...that's something we do as often as possible ...especially to the dog beach!

I had similar weather in an upstairs apartment coupled with high humidity when the ac went out once. They had to wait for parts and the maintenance man told me to put a bowl of ice out in front of a fan. It helped.

The weather seems crazy here this year. It's been comfortably warm and mostly sunny for the past few days. Woke up this morning. Sun shining brightly, but temperature dropped right back, so I'm sitting here with the heater on!

I don’t know how you survive at 85. It’s a must to have it in the 70’s here, due to the massive amount of humidity.

Going to the coast sounds like a good idea. It’s definitely cooler there.
