...kind of the opposite of new ...I've been making a lot more from scratch, like mayo and especially salad dressing. Lots of different sauces actually.

I buy hard red wheat bread flour and Medium rye flour from a local grainery and now they've added new varieties of local and heritage wheat.
So in addition to my regular purchase, I bought bags of the purple wheat bread flour, a red/purple/blue all purpose mix, and a soft wheat pastry flour.

I'm stoked to have some new toys!

Since I only cook for one though, I don't think I can justify buying a bottle of bourbon. I don't drink.

Easiest marinade for chicken:

1/2 cup Applewood Rub
1/3 cup bourbon
3/4 cup Maple syrup

Marinate in fridge overnight....then broil or grill....too easy...too yummy
