The was a post where the good citizens of SOI stood behind you and send well wishes.It was a relatable post. Shame it is gone now.

OK, back from the gym with a chance to cool off. I'm ranting, and I don't need to rant. It's not necessary.First...thank you to those of you who posted to me about Ray and Jackie. I'll see Ray on Sunday. Also, for those who care or believe in the efficacy of prayer, I've raised them both in prayer at church a couple of times.
I deleted my top-level cork posts for a reason, which isn't important here, but I'm not throwing a hissy fit about something. There's a reason.
...and finally, understand that it's very frustrating to take a great deal of care to write something which I'm aware could be perceived as controversial, put a lot of thought and effort into it, only to have it completely misunderstood by a significant proportion of the readers. Chalk up my frustration and earlier rants to that.
One more time....I'm not concerned with how many people respond to MY posts.
I'm just not. It's not about Me, Me, Me.I AM concerned when it becomes obvious that nearly 100 people read the cork on a regular basis and the overwhelming majority of posts get 3, 4, maybe 5 responses. I get concerned when I see someone post something, but I never, ever see their handles in any thread responding to anyone else.
Everybody can utilize this cork however they want to. There is no obligation to do anything at all. .. And for God's sake I'm NOT the cork-enforcer trying to force everybody to do something I think is worthwhile. Everybody can participate here, however they want to. You pay your money, you play how you want to.
But if people don't interact, then the cork fades out and the community is gone.
THAT is what my post, a week-plus ago was about....NOT *whine, whine whine* poor me, nobody wants to respond to me..waaaaah..

I'm not concerned with the lack of responses to MY POSTS.
I'm concerned about the lack of responses to EVERYBODY's posts except the ones asking for prayers because someone is sick, or hurting. When twenty or eighty people respond to a post about people wanting prayers, that means they're reading the cork. When three people respond to everything else, that means that 77 people are not responding to everything else. That means that participation is waning on the cork. Without participation, the cork dies.
It wasn't about my posts.
MY POSTS? No.No.
It was about the general decline of participation in the cork. Since I put that up, participation has climbed, so clearly some people read what I wrote and understood it. That's great.
I have a reason for deleting my current posts on the board. thank you to those who responded to what I had to say about Ray and Jackie. I'll see Ray on Sunday afternoon and we'll talk.
I thought it was a good post too, was preparing to answer for it. Unfortunately people sometimes miss the point of an idea.
