I posted the introduction to this about a week or so ago. I've been obsessing over it, and well...I like this:
https://soi-gabrieli.hyperchat.com/OrchestraandOrchardw-bass-COPY-SEMIFINAL.mp3
It's highly chromatic in a English/Copland hybrid sort of way and incorporates a buttload of stuff I learned in Harmony IV...modal scales, modal harmonies, 9th and 11th chords, quintal harmonies. Lots 'o stuff. The "Orchestra" is the opening and ending. The "Orchard" is the typically English tune in the middle, set off with a mess of counterpoint. These are synth string sections from my composition software, again, but I'm pretty sure this will get played in the Fall.
Thanks my friend!!
i love it, it's soothing
And improved from the one previous. Way to go.
I like it, though I found it a touch slow for my tastes. It's definitely music to sip with good whisky.
Yes!
