The University of Tennessee won the College World Series Monday night in Omaha, Nebraska; hit a lot of homeruns! Had a heck of a big orange parade in Knoxville yesterday. We settled for the orange parade along the woodline.
:https://soi-falstaff.hyperchat.com/j1.jpgLast time TN was in finals of College World Series was 1951, and that time they lost to Oklahoma. Soooo, they were after it, like Otis wanting a pig's ear.
:https://soi-falstaff.hyperchat.com/j2.jpgAnd when they WON, they paraded downtown Knoxville with the trophy in their mouth.
:https://soi-falstaff.hyperchat.com/j3.jpgGarden producing, been sharing the bounty.

Warm smile Thanks Mercury, Bitchlyone and Orlando. Lord, we were blessed with over a 1/2 inch of rain last night! The hot pink is Four-O-Clocks, and they are going to get HOTTER.
Third. Fine, I'm blaming my ISP.
That splash of hot pink in the second to the bottom. Gasp, happinessScritches to Otis, and maybe a thorax tossed his way.
I love your summer yard, Pan.
Congrats to ya from the girl that bleeds orange and blue !!!!
Otis seems as happy as you My friend.Garden pics are always fabulous. Thanks.

Take Me Out To The Ballgame...Glad your team won! Does Otis root for the Mississippi State Bulldogs?
What a bounty you do have. Thank you for taking us through the fields.
muggy: I'm still WEARING orange, had it on for several days, heck, Evansvilles good, we barely beat them to get out of the regional, and Florda State was TOUGH, geez, and so was Texas A&M; high level baseball, many of the players will be in major leagues next year.
Thanks vaash, and yeah, the Vols do have a great sports program and fan base; went to football homecoming at Neyland Stadium last season, daaaaamn, regular band had 400 members, and the alumni were there, 800 playing instruments, hell, they had twenty seven tubas and I think ninety-five trombones, anyway, shooting firewords around the stadium, 100,000 clad in orange, heck, they had 50,000 at the parade yesterday for the baseball team and on SHORT notice, less than 24 hours from winning the game to yeah,Prancing with pride wearing orange, thanks muggy, dang right, hugs you right back, GO VOLS!
GO VOLS!!!! Bet ya still seein' orange huh, Pan? Otis looks as if he's "prancin'" in pride...hugs to him and you my sweet friend...miss chattin' with ya. *hugs*
Wow... I am so impressed (again) with Your garden. It is beautiful. Vols have some great sports programs and fans! Thank you for sharing.
Angus Mason: Texas A&M had a hell of a team, geez, that one pitcher threw 29 pitches of 100mph or better, geez! Thanks Delilah, we've had ample rain up until the last two weeks; got a chance tonight, but if it doesn't, yeah, I'll get the sprinkler going EARLY in the morning.
It was a heck of a world series; TN comeback against Florida St. very memorable, down three runs going into the bottom of ninth, two outs, and got FOUR hits in a row; I mean, a fly ball, an easy grounder, a called strike three and the game would have been over. I'm happy for the Vols, been awhile since they won a national championship, that was back in 2009 in women's indoor track, heck, hadn't EVER won it in baseball.
Your garden is so glorious Pan.....even better than last year, I reckon!
I had hoped for A&M after the first game.
Omaha loves hosting the College World Series.Brings a lot of tourists and their money here!
BASEBALL!
I found myself watching both wins of theirs my friend!!
Congratulations to the Volunteers.
What a bounty in that garden!
