We've had ample rain; excellent growing season.:https://soi-falstaff.hyperchat.com/f1.jpg
Starting to get squash and zucchini.

The outside edge is a forty yard, ten foot wide, flower bed. Did it last year and worked out well, brought in a lot of butterflies and goldfinches. Was a economical plant if you have the ground worked up; Queen gathers marigold and zinnias seeds in the fall; spent six bucks on sunflower seeds and used half a bag of fertilizer.
Otis says Hey.

Flowers up against the house are getting outrageous, Dahlias wearing red and white petticoats, and a lily not opened yet, peaking over the shoulders of cleome, and lord, they are burlesque dancers, supplying pink fans to play peek-a-boo.

Two days ago rode the tractor up to youngest son's place; we've been having gorgeous weather. I'll never tire of watching clouds drift over mountains.

Went up there to mow path through blackberry patch, here's the entrance; son took this picture four days ago.

Happy Sunday.
Thanks Mercury and Bala.~bambou~: any flower that makes a woman want to become a burlesque dancer is MAGIC!
Thanks belle; the long row peaked around the 4th of July last year; might be on tract for repeat performance; we have some Mexican sunflowers in a different place this year, supposed to bloom orange; never grown them before, but we live in TN, and this is big orange country.
I can't wait for the flower border to explode. It's all very beautiful Panurge.
like my friend Bala said, just WOW!hey Otis, and Panurge, i want to become a burlesque dancer just to use such a cleome fan smile
i love your place, so serene especially that sender where the deers gather, it must be special to spend time there.
Just WOW!!!
Such serenity, thank you for bringing us along.
Delilah: Sometimes a woman just needs a larger vegetable, and Toots wouldn't have to run far; Otis is getting some age on him. Thanks Gioia, cory{BI}, and cait~.
I love zucchini, especially raw in salad instead of cucumber. Musch tastier. Nutty, a bit crunchy and less watery. Give Otis a scritch from me - I was going to say a lick from Toots, but I suspect my bad boy would be more inclined to yowl and smack your poor boy on the nose, before running like heck!.....LOL
Your garden is gloriously lush!
what a piece of Paradise...
Hey Otis .. I just love your yard Panurge.
Thanks vaash, Pepin, and Birthday Orlando;Pepin: Yeah, been lucky about deer not bothering the garden, and hope we have a good year for blackberries; they usually peak around here on July 4th;
Orlando: Try to convince Rocky it is your birthday; he might wag his tail extra fast.
Hey, Otis. Belly rubAnd happy Sunday, Pan. Rocky says hey, too.
Happy Sunday.Better the deer up by the blackberries than near your garden.
Happy Sunday to you too, Panurgeand a say hey to Otis as well.
