They walked now beside the beast as they slowly made their way through the streets of the city. It was pleasant and although they were not known in the city they were greeted by many who knew the value of travelers who brought commerce and fresh ideas to their city.

Once the reached the outskirts of the city they mounted once more, the Pani reaching down for the slave girl hauling her up onto the back of the beast to take her place behind him. He felt her wrap her arms about his waist as he gave the beast a slight kick in the flanks before setting off once more towards Tor and the last stage of this part of their journey south. He thought as he road what good fortune it was to have found this slave to assist him on his journey.
