Maybe start with reading your own mind, babe. But if you ask her what she's thinking, she'll tell you.

Credentials and everything? How could I argue with that?

Well, it's a little bit on purpose. Does that count?

Someday I'll have to see it.

You on stage.

An amused grin at your teasing, eyes bright.

Well, so far. There is that one thing you still need to prove.

A lick of her lips follows her words.

You catch her expression and step in to explain for Holly and she nods as she listens to you.

That makes more sense.

She had no idea she was being talked about. She'd only come out for a run. Get a bit of fresh air, because everyone tells her she needs to get out more. So here she is.

She'd slowed down and veered toward the vendor to go grab a bottled water.

She's no lesbian superhero. Even if she does have the physique of one, or so she'd been told.

She hadn't noticed you, Leo Sterling, Holly Blanc or Dylan Bode. As her back was to the group as she took out her earbuds and tucked them in with her phone and pulled out a couple of bills to get a water as she walked up to the vendor.

Waiting her turn in line to get that ice cold water, and taking the moment to cool down .

You get a nod back. Maybe this is exactly what he needed to hear today.

"Yeah," he agrees. Reminds himself. "I've still got more to do, too." This week has been him trying to move on, at least somewhat - and you're reminding him there are things he wants out there, which is a pretty big deal for him right now.

The liking is mutual, if still a little awed.

"Yeah, I play guitar. I'm not amazing, or anything, I just wanted to be able to accompany myself, y'know?"

Talia Amin -

The confusion has him filling in, slightly.

"When I was, y'know, starting to figure out myself - all of, what, a month ago - I was telling Holly I don't really know folks in the queer community, which I was kind of realizing I was part of - she mentioned her friend V as maybe a person to talk to."

It's always fun having you have to reach up to squeeze his shoulder or try to fix a hat he's wearing wrong. He towers over you by more than a foot. But he appreciates the squeeze and the genuineness of it. Hell, he remembers before you'd really mastered the fakeness and he'd seen you as a young lady looking to get a high end client list who didn't look bad in a bikini around his pool.

Now, it's more than that. Not saying you don't look good in a bikini, but now he's seen you step up for folks and hell even sell his merch at a couple of shows. There were people for that, but you...you stepped up.

He follows your pointing to the running V. Vander, was wondering if her bosses knew she had taken a night off to go running. Seriously the work ethic that woman had was incredible, plus she was a pretty good ear when you're ordering a drink.

Okay, but you do need to watch Schitt's Creek.

He is going to sweep you up in one of this ignature bear hugs if you let him, watch box still in hand.

You are underselling yourself. You've heard him say it before.

"I'm definitely not a super-" words pausing as the rest registers, and a curious look.

That looks follows to V. Vander, and then back to you. "Oh! The friend you told me about?"

Talia Amin -

Okay, now he wants to know what he'd find if he went deeper. Or maybe he doesn't? Actually, if he could read his own mind, that would be swell.

"I do say so, and yes, I am. Have a degree in it and everything." Like that means anything.

You're teasing them on purpose, right?

"I'm mostly good at pretending on stage."

A delighted smile as they get to make that connection for you.

"Smart, very smart. I'm often right, you know."

Okay, that's absolutely them teasing you, given the things they've claimed to be right about so far with you.

Yes. She had earbuds in. Music cycling through her power workout playlist with a bit of the club music she'd liked and downloaded thrown in too. If it had a good beat she had it running through her playlist. So she had no idea about the pop music blaring out from the mini party.

She'd emptied her water bottle a few miles down the beach. She'd opted to pick up a bottle here and there from various vendors along the way. There really was no place for her to stash a water bottle on her person. She had a pair of black biking/running shorts on that went from just below her navel showing off the V lines that dipped into the waistband. Running shoes and a matching black sports bra, with a band around her upper bicep that had a pocket for her phone a little cash and air pods when she wasn't wearing them.

She hadn't seen your party but her eyes had caught another vendor selling water and she decided to slow and move toward the vendor to purchase one.

Laughter spills from her as you say you like politicians.

There's no need to convince me. I don't know that even I am really into diplomacy, though I know more foreign diplomats than politicians.

Mostly, she's just the girl making sure to round up the children and get them to bed.

Oh. Lucky you then.

Giving you a slight grin, still trying to figure out how to read you. She can't quite put her finger on it.

But she glances over at V. Vander when you point at her, calling her the lesbian superhero, then back to you and Leo, blinking in slight confusion.
