It had taken less time then I had thought to catch up with the Goblins. Granted that they tended to blend into the forest making them harder to spot at times. And this was their terrain so they moved swifter, usually.

However, how I spotted them was the pale white skin of the women that they had take for slaves. They were easier to spot and moved much slower then their new masters. Each woman had been stripped naked, a small piece of wood placed in her mouth like a bit and bound in place by a leather thong. Each had her hands bound behind her back and a thick length of rope knotted about the neck of each tethered them in a slave coffle. Their ankles had also been feathered by a length of rope with each end bound about their ankles. This slowed them down considerably. But Goblins were natural slavers and seldom took chances with their livestock.

It was unlikely that a slave could slip the neck rope. But keeping their ankles roped like shackles would prevent the slave from attempting to flee if she was removed and saved time of roping the ankles before removing the neck rope.

I do too. *Smiles*. They're easier to deal with as an adult though, at least for me. The worst one I had Right after my grandma died. It was my first day back to work, and I was going the opposite direction of home. I had to pull over for a few minutes. Id been caregiving for months and never went anywhere but home and work and back. It triggered me for some reason.
