Stepbrother I think

Shifting sands is exactly it. Almost like you're throwing words and ideas out there in hopes something sticks. It makes her unsure how much of it you actually, truly think and believe. Then again, she often doesn't know what she believes, not one of those people who feels the need to have an opinion on everything. She's figuring it out and willing to admit it.

Just because she wants to be sure, she double-checks to who you're pointing at. V. Vander, who seems to not really even be aware you're pointing her out. Which makes her wonder why you're not calling her over.

Fanny pack? Nah. She'll carry it if she's running with it. Makeshift weights . One in each hand 16oz equal a lb each until you drink them down.

Fashion is your thing. She's happy with basics. Stop for water, or carry it. She did see the shoulder slings to hold the water bottle but nah.

She got up to the vendor and asked for a couple of waters and handed over the cash.

She took both bottles and walked a few feet from the vendor. She placed one bottle on the sand and uncapped the other as she bent over to pour it over the back of her neck and hair. Cooling herself off. She recapped it and tossed the empty into the trashcan she stopped by. Running her fingers through her wet hair and slicking it back. Bringing the cold wet fingers forward over her face and chest. She groaned and bent back down to pick up the other bottle she'd placed on the ground. Lifting it , uncapping it and taking a long drink.

Taking her time to stroll as she drank the water. Looking out over the beach and the people occupying it.

You have been incredibly honest with them, so yeah, they believe that. Their own mind... that's harder.

"Credentials and the crushing student debt to match it. Can't argue with that." The words are playful.

Yes, it counts.

"You've seen me on the karaoke stage, that kind of counts."

It would be cool, though, if you did get to see him perform properly.

While he absolutely lead you there, he still blushes when you say it.

"And I will, the moment your schedule allows it."

He's aiming to try and balance a whole lot of promise into that, with being very definitely in public, and also the whole poly, another person he's dating right here thing.

Smile a little self conscious, though, with the explanation of the connection to V. Vander.

"Yeah. It's all pretty new."

Holly Blanc -

You wheeze-giggle and get a wide grin, and a low laugh, before they set you back on your feet.

"I don't know, I don't, like, write, that's..." Dee's thing, is left unsaid.

"I do. I haven't touched it since, like, rehearsals started. I'll play for you next time you're over, if you want?"

Dylan Bode -

An admiring shake of their head.

"I can get that. I don't really write, I'm kind of forever in awe of people who do."

This is probably his best day in a while, too. He wouldn't dream of comparing, really, to what you're going through. He wasn't kidding that he met Talia while singing depressing musical theatre, though. He'd just broken his person's heart and their relationship - she's still around, just mostly not talking to him.

Mouth opens to say it isn't needed, and immediately shuts, before he laughs.

"Okay, I won't argue. Thank you. Holly definitely has my address."

She peered over to Dylan Bode, though, as he offered Leo his sagely advice.

"Honestly if I could do half of what you've done by forty-five I'll be happy. I'm still curious what Leo might do if he had Ouroboros's backing though. Like shoulder some financial risk to let them Auteur a bit for something on the stage? Wait, Leo you play the Guitar?"
