Picks up an art piece off one of the mantles and scans it as she looks it over all the way. Her positronic brain was being fed so much information right now! It was amazing!

She can’t look. For all her bravado she just can’t look. Burrowing her face into the side of your neck instead, her cheeks blazing and her lips burning from that last lash of your tongue, which she had no doubt was for their benefit rather than hers.

She bites down on her bottom lip as you 'have a word', as much from surprise as to stop the nervous laughter that threatens to bubble up. You didn’t have to raise your voice to make your point. The languid Cowgate-born-and-bred growl you had slipped back into was more menacing by far than had you just shouted at them.

Peeking over your shoulder she watches the couple, older and dressed in clothes that are at least a decade out of fashion, harrumph and bluster before shuffling off with their noses in the air. But not so far out of hearing that they would have missed your parting shot.

Her teeth were still sunk into her bottom lip, but not enough to bite back the peal of laughter that escapes. She’d be the one with the vapours if the whole weekend was as reckless as this. And yet, her need for you was so consuming, so selfish, that she couldn’t bring herself to care enough to step back from whatever precipice of madness this was.

So she steps back, instead, into the room behind her, her whole body humming from the nearness of you as you follow, and shut out the world with the click of the door behind you.
