slipping from the saddle the Pani then took the little slave girl by the waist and helped fer from the beast, he then led the beast by the reins and the small slave girl to the high ground where he would set up camp. He quickly tethered the beast while speaking to the slave

"go and find firewood we will have a hot meal, I'm sure that you could use some stew with suls." again it was not a request but a statement, he knew that the girl was now reliant on him to survive and this he would do, he would help her survive. A smile ghosted upon his lips at the thought of what that would entail. He would allow her to prepare the meal while he set up camp.

He cleared a small area where they would sleep, no tent for them, they would sleep under the stars, he ensured that there was only soft sand and leaves upon which they could lay. He would use a blanket over that which could be used to pull over them should the chill set in.

There were just two of them so not much need to set up a perimeter so if they kept a low profile and the fire was low they would, should be safe.

The Pani had no idea of what was to transpire in the near future. He knew that he had to go to Tor to find out about the salt trade and what had transpired before Turia, he would then travel North along the Northern Silk Road to the Vosk and beyond. There would need to have the salt trade examined up there and establish its integrity. It was spring now in the North so travel should be easier than in the winters.

They had ridden for ahn and in his estimation, they would reach Kasra by the afternoon of the following day. He would need to make camp overnight here on the road well at least beside the road, his almond-shaped eyes looked for a suitable place where they could be safe and rest. It was not long and he found a suitable place protected by some trees on high ground with a stream nearby. They could camp here for the night.

Just as she was about to take another bite of bread her feet left the ground and her mane was used like a handle , placed behind him on the beast she needed not telling twice to hang on and she wrapped her arms around his waist as the beast moved off on a quicker pace.

Her long mane free from the cloak was flowing down her back strands being caught on the breeze as they moved like fine webs going in each direction ,dark eyes squeezed shut so dust didn't make them gritty ,where they were headed she had no clue .

(but the breasts are a pretty good match)

The Pani slowed the beast to walk at a slower pace than it was used to, he also knew that he would need to travel at a faster pace than this, he could not travel at the girl's pace even at a run she would tire out way before the Tor tu Gor set today. He listened as he paced the beast watching her eat and drink gaining sustenance while talking between mouthfuls of the bread. It sounded like a fantasy story but of course realized that it was the truth disguised.

He gave a nod that she would not have seen satisfied that whatever the reason was it would make no difference to him or her for that matter. He reached down and took the girl by the hair hauling her up from the road and onto the back of the kaiila behind him giving the beast a soft kick in the flanks spurring it on at a faster pace.

The girl seemed comfortable on the back of the beast and in his usual tone simply said "hold on around my waist" as the beast picked up the pace.
