*gets dinner going, decided on turkey and ham, and making what my nephew calls a feast for dinner. Is feeling brilliant right now... The last time I made stuffing, I mixed up WAY too much. So I froze it. Now I have a beautiful batch of stuffing for today's turkey breast*

"See? Isn't this fun? Not having to worry about whether someone cares that you're a celebrity or not? Just dancing. Like dancing is supposed to be DOOOOne!"

That last part exclaimed as you spun her around.

"I think if the whole world danced more, there would be less problems in the world."

Her eyes widen a little at having apparently been a topic of conversation between you and Alexander Kincaid. “I do hope all good things.” she replies with a ghost of a smile, shooting a look at Kincaid, a better idea now as to quite why you were studying at her with such interest. She can only imagine that Kincaid had credited her with some part in helping him mete out justice for the trinity of murders in the Old Town last year, and had shared with you her particular 'gift'.

She met your gaze without yielding, her own radiating a confidence she wasn’t entirely sure she felt. But before she can say anything else Alexander Kincaid begins to usher them away, and she readies to take her leave of you and Veronica.

As fascinating as you both appeared to be she knew her strength wasn’t quite up to matching wits with you, which she had no doubt she would have to if they stayed longer.

“Alexander wishes I would fade away to nothing, I am sure. If only to free up his time which I am afraid I do take up quite a lot of.” Her eyes found his, and she shares a fond look with him before taking his arm. “It was a pleasure to meet you both too.” she says in parting, her smile genuine, before she allows herself to be led away to their table on the other side of the dining room.

Grinning and beginning to move to a fast beat, matching your speed as best I can. I slide my hands around your hips once or twice and move with you rhythmically. At one point, I reach out and grab your hand to spin you around one the spot!

Her eyes flick to the finger you point at her, discretely or no, and she arches a brow as her mouth quirks with amusement. She hadn’t reached the ripe old age she had by behaving, and wasn’t about to start now. Especially when it was an upstart pup trying to admonish her. But any temptation to mischief is forgotten as Gideon’s gaze finds her, and she sees reflected in it that bright young thing who had caught his eye in Venice lifetimes ago.

Sitting back a little in her chair she reaches for her tea, taking the opportunity to observe the interplay before her over the rim of her teacup. She schooled her expression into one of polite interest, giving away none of the curiosity she felt as the introductions continued to unfold.

Who was this woman to you that merited Gideon hearing ‘so much about’? Your auras had already intrigued her, dancing around each other like two magnets that had not quite aligned properly. But Gideon’s quiet scrutiny of Delilah Darling spoke volumes. Although what those volumes were, exactly, she had no idea. Yet.

She sets her teacup back down as you start to take your leave and lets her gaze rest on Delilah Darling. “The pastries here really are quite excellent. Although none of them quite compare to a Veneto bombolini, do you not agree Gideon…?” Her smile as she makes this pronouncement is deceptively sweet, as sweet as the pastries themselves, but with a concealed tease aimed very much at you.

“It was a pleasure to meet you too, Miss Darling.” To you she merely inclines her head politely, but when she meets your parting gaze her own sparkles with a mischief that belongs to a much much younger woman.

"Sorry. You're a cool guy. Don't worry about me. I'm just a bitch sometimes."

Nods.

"Sorry. You'll have to make some up for yourself."

Smiles and makes a little giggle in her throat as you take her by the hand and dance with her.
