He nodded to Gideon, affected an almost courtly bow towards Nonna, exaggerating the motion with just enough insouciance to convey a bite of his own teasing right back.

He turns then to lead Delilah back to their own table, and a hundred questions, he is certain, if he knows her at all.

Plenty of fresh peach crisp for dessert... Need some more vanilla ice cream.. *scribbling out my list*. Potatoes....

*gets dinner going, decided on turkey and ham, and making what my nephew calls a feast for dinner. Is feeling brilliant right now... The last time I made stuffing, I mixed up WAY too much. So I froze it. Now I have a beautiful batch of stuffing for today's turkey breast*

"See? Isn't this fun? Not having to worry about whether someone cares that you're a celebrity or not? Just dancing. Like dancing is supposed to be DOOOOne!"

That last part exclaimed as you spun her around.

She met your gaze without yielding, her own radiating a confidence she wasn’t entirely sure she felt. But before she can say anything else Alexander Kincaid begins to usher them away, and she readies to take her leave of you and Veronica.

As fascinating as you both appeared to be she knew her strength wasn’t quite up to matching wits with you, which she had no doubt she would have to if they stayed longer.

“Alexander wishes I would fade away to nothing, I am sure. If only to free up his time which I am afraid I do take up quite a lot of.” Her eyes found his, and she shares a fond look with him before taking his arm. “It was a pleasure to meet you both too.” she says in parting, her smile genuine, before she allows herself to be led away to their table on the other side of the dining room.
