sad but true
The House
Heh, for once it's not insomnia. But every time I think it's quieted down, someone sets something else off.
Welcome to the still-wild west?
I always get a kick out of hearing about Serling. He was a childhood friend of my mother's. We grew up in the same town, went to the same high school, had the same English teacher (look up Helen Foley.)

Glancing in for the first time since she was chased out of the bar for soliciting. Slowly walking into the dimly lit bar and looking around. Keeping the flyers for the Hunt Adventures by her side as she takes a seat and orders a drink while checking to see if there were any messages from interested folks.
The House
I really didn't need to discover that FreeVee has a 24/7 Sailor Moon channel. Although it did give me something to focus on while hiding from fireworks at least.AND I think I finally know at least part of how Kenna's book needs to end.

Heh, growing up on She-Ra and Sailor Moon it really is no wonder my characters always turn out in certain ways. Especially the ones closest to my heart.

Tavern Main Floor
Treson smiled warmly at Gunnar's words, appreciating his easy charm and the genuine compliment about her establishment."She is,"
Treson agreed, glancing fondly at Bernice as she walked away.
"We’re fortunate to have a team that feels like family here. It makes a world of difference."
She glanced around the tavern, noting the satisfied expressions of the patrons and the softening pace of the night. The festivities had been a grand success, but now it was time for rest.
"It’s getting late, and it seems we both could use some rest,"
Treson said, her tone gentle but firm.
"Feel free to settle in and make yourself at home. I'm sure you’ll find your room comfortable."
She extended her hand once more, this time in a more formal gesture of parting for the night.
"Goodnight, Gunnar. Rest well, and I’ll see you in the morning."
With that, Treson watched as Gunnar headed toward the stairs, then took one last look around the lively room before making her way to her own quarters. The day had been long, but fulfilling. As she prepared to retire for the night, she couldn’t help but feel a sense of pride and satisfaction in what she had built—and a curiosity about what tomorrow might bring.
