…only to suddenly break character into a bashful giggle, grabbing the table's rim to edge her chair inwards.

"I had a clip of that make it to like nine thousand views!"

That was supposed to be a big deal, by the way. Qalli lowered the menu with a nibble of her lower lip. "I'm not sure what to get that's not— like cornbread still has butter, right?"

And cole slaw has mayo which has eggs, and the peach cobbler has cream, and—

"Oh, okay they have some salad and vin, fruit…"

She returned the menu after a glance over the rest of it, like by context her eyes naturally slid over to the fur, quirking her lips. "But you can't blame me for wondering if it was fake, like your profile was just created and looked pretty barren, almost like you were trying to fly under the radar or something?"

"You too!"

Smiles warmly.

"I'm glad things are going well for you. I got a check today that had to do with unclaimed assets from my mom after her death. It's been 5 years, but hey, better late than never I suppose. I had planned on setting aside some money this month, and I was actually going to be hurting because of that, but with this new boon, I will be just fine."

"So things are going pretty good for me!"
