Look, she just finished replacing her mattress — you keep your definitely-not-weird-or-special-fluid well-contained within your "cylindrical canister".

The first thing to happen was Bamboo leaping from her lap and scrambling under the mattress with less-than-gentle application of his claws for sudden traction, earning a flutter of her eyes and a tiny hiss of pain.

"Son of a…"

A single motion had her up out of her chair, glancing up at the door monitor, and striding from the computer room to the door, which shunted open with a pneumatic air-pop, framing her in the doorway with a tilt of her head at your setup.

"I know you're gonna say no again, but I'd be remiss if I didn't offer to watch your back again…" IRIDIA pushed her palm off of the doorframe and turned to stride back toward her room, continuing to gab over her shoulder.

"Tampere's key was still valid up to this morning, and it shows Richter checking in with the Guild. Not sure what-for, maybe he was making a case for himself with the arbitrators, trynna scrape up some credit for getting you to come in and parley… no way of knowing."

Well, she was certainly right into it. IRIDIA dumped herself into the chair, sliding towards the screens.
Once Bamboo knew it was Echo Fenix that came to visit, the cat came out of hiding and cautioned towards the techie, tail up and swishy.
