~the little flat back wagon pulled by one small bosk rattled up to the the edge of the Wolf district where it was promptly met by a small group of raiders.
whcih Matilda and her sons had anticipated.
the two young men held hands out palms up to show they are without weapon. One of hte young men came and assisted Matilda down from her perch on the edge of the wagon, and then helped Elsker down.
the Inn keeper stood strong and tall even as the young man paused to make sure she wouldn't fall. he gave her a smile and a wink. Els could hear Matilda talking even as she reluctantly followed the young man to the front of the wagon.~

"A gift for the raiders, and the Wolf who leads them."

~the older lady said as she motioned to the kegs of ale and paga and the basket of wines. there was also three baskets of bread, cheese, and some sliced meats. For the most part things they could enjoy here in their leasure.~

~the old woman reached out and took Elsker's elbow and drew her forward. She gave the Raider who had stepped forward as the ranking among them, a smile and he grunted hitching his head toward his men and then to the wagon. the men quickly unloaded it and he gave her a nod as the gifts were taken away, probably to be given to someone who would dispense it or burn it or whatever. It was a gift they could do as they pleased~
