You settled in and she remained silent. Waiting for you to break the silence. Which you did, after you put your order in with Rusty.

She was a bit surprised that the first thing you mentioned was Anderson. That scarred brow ticked up as she lifted her cup for a sip and lowered it slowly.

You probably expected her to say something, or react a certain way, but she didn't. It sounded like you had something more to say so she stayed quiet. Sipped her coffee and waited for you to continue, if you were going to.

As for Anderson. The guy was a pain in the ass. All she knew was someone had killed him she didn't get details nor did she ask for them.

People die every day. She's not shocked about it, but there are very few that would probably get any sort of reaction out of her.

Did it bother you? The fact she sat there quietly , with those intense blues looking at you. Waiting for you to continue? Did it make you nervous, sitting here with her right now?

Settling her backpack down on the seat next
to her she looks at you, her eyes moving over your
face registering the cuts and bruising. They drop
to your hands wrapped around the mug and sees similar
evidence of a fight. Nibbling her bottom lip on where
to start, she glances up as Rusty comes by asking if she
wants anything.
Oh, hi Rusty, I was going to come up, but I'll
have flat white please. Thanks.
smiling at him as he goes she turns back to you
and leans forward on the table, her hands clasped
together.

About Anderson...that was, that was. He was murdered
in a really, seriously sick way.
that's her opening...not one she intended but when
she thought about it, that was the most prominent thing.
Idly she wonders if you felt sad about it, but with a
quick glance up at you, she figures, not. But still
it was a shocking thing.

Both hands were wrapped around her mug and she seemed lost in thought when you approached. It took her a couple moments to even register you there, before intense blues lifted and noticed you.

Before she could even answer you were pulling out the chair so she figured , go ahead.
If you were avoiding her, she hadn't noticed. Not a lot of people go searching her out. So she doesn't think anything about it.

True, she hadn't been happy with you. Not after that last incident. She was quiet, sipping her coffee. You might notice a fresh split on her lip and the bruised knuckles. Which may or may not be anything big to those that know her. They know she tends to beat on a punching bag quite often. So it could be from that, or from repeatedly beating the shit out of another fighter in an underground ring earlier tonight. Not that it's public knowledge to most.

Glancing around seeing Rusty moving about,
her eyes drop to you as he spoke to you.
A strange look moves over her face. One of slight
guilt, but resolve, and walks over seeing that you'd
been eating. Only hesitating a second, she takes a
breath and smiles at you.
Hey...Mind if I sit? With you it was never
automatic. But even though she asked, she still slid
into the seat opposite you. We needed to talk.
Had she been avoiding you? Maybe not consciously but
she hadn't sought you out either and we both knew why.

She was settled in a oversized comfy chair in the corner, sitting at a table eating a sandwich and sipping her coffee.

Rusty came by again and she stopped him to ask if they had any of those fresh baked cookies. If so she'd take a couple chocolate chip.

Rusty nodded and told her he'd bring her some back. She thanked him and picked up her coffee again. Groaning into the mug. It was good coffee.
