ohhh, what is a gem lab?

The two pieces I have are by Paul Harrie and Ed Kachuric (I always butcher their names). It is simply amazing what these people do with glass and fire.

Both brows lift at that first claim, still amused. "A Sexccident?" Another laugh, head shaking. "Were you re-enacting the bit when everyone gets attacked?" A shudder. "So long as you weren't reenacting the exploding penis, I guess."

It's honestly an impressive level of commitment. "I won't rat you out, promise."

You do get a proper bear hug, once you're de-casted. Which probably does leave you somewhat floury. The laugh at de-flouring is absolutely delighted. "I think you might have de-flour-ed me with the hug." It was a good pun, though!

It's not just post-play depression, though.. okay, it's also that, possibly. And no way for you to know that, either. All the little details that amount to being wildly abnormal for them are relative, based on a longer baseline than you've had time to establish with them. Admittedly, if you'd been here yesterday, the place was more obviously a disaster.

The sunny vibe, well, he's trying. The puff pastry, it might be Leo's version of compensating.

"It is!" Almost all the dishes he owns are currently drying. Since you helped them shop, you even probably can tell that - far, far too many dishes have been washed today, but not put away. Most of them not related to baking. "I thought it might be fun?" They know you're not a cook, so there is a distinct lack of confidence in that question. They also thought the project might help cover... everything.

"Well, let's see, we've got some options here. How do you feel about chopping things? There's stuff in the fridge for a salad, and potatoes, to go with the Beef Wellington, and searing the meat..." An exaggerated narrowing of their eyes. "Hot hands, huh? Yeah, maybe we'll leave the pastry to me. Doughs gotta stay chilled.

"Music! Good call." Pulling out their phone and opening it, to press play on whatever's already there - admittedly, what's been playing, kind of on loop, is 'The Last Five Years'. If you know the show, it's not a good sign. Even if you don't know the show,
'Nobody Needs To Know sounds like deeply sad musical theatre, and absolutely about cheating on your spouse.

Which, honestly, you may not know, except for the way their expression shifts to something more bleak and guilt-ridden, stricken for a moment before he hurriedly scans for something less depressing. "Um, anything you're in the mood for?"

That's really cool. *Smiles*. I've seen glass blown before, but I've never done it. I want to learn that, but I really want to learn stained glass

*Laughs*. Oh they're so many things I want to try. I do train work here and there, I'm still learning. And I just got my gem lab started.

Wow... that's exciting. I love geeky things like that. I did some glass blowing
on one vacation. That was amazing. It's outside of the usual and art glass
really fascinates me. I've got a couple pieces that I enjoy so much. One artist
Satava, I think, does beautiful jellyfish glass. If I hit the lottery, I'll def invest.
