I have thought about this all week.
So many many good memories, more than the bad ones.
I have met so many here that have become more than just names on a screen.
So many that are no longer with us.

my first time ever posting into a gorean room was in @gor, a friend of mine from bwr and I sat giggling in the shadows watching in rapt fascination as a girl served UlyssesGreen and Shadizar.
Watching the slaves serve, and dance...oh that was what drew me in. And that you had to know things, you had to research things...it was a stark contrast to what I was used to playing.
I remember that night Shadizar took me into a room and taught me how to serve ~*laughs*~
he demonstrated and it was hillarious watching a man do the old 5 to 7 post serve with such description.

UG and I became friends, we talked often. Sometimes if he didn't see me for a while he would just call to check in on me and my kids.

during that time is when Matt moved in with me, and I returned to jag to hide away from some unpleasantness in my life.
I remember watching Azakar and his brother Bossk fighting at the Reed Inn and I mailed Azakar and asked if I could play their sister.
And so Derfail was born...and I met La'ban. He was such an amazing man. Losing him was incredibly painful.

One of the scenes I still laugh over was so many years ago, when I visited Tor as a wagon slave and one of Mallik's old characters was there with his slave.....and the slave made a disparaging remark about smelling dung as I passed, and I may have mentioned that she had fat ankles...which led to blowsing exchanged, until we were rolling around on the ground trying to pound each others skulls in, while our owners sat on the side lines taking bets. Until a very grouchy free woman came in and lost her noodles over slaves fighting and how dare men sit by and do nothing...it was the end of the fun.

And there was a time when I was a Free woman and I played her as being very corpulant, waddling in, grunting and groaning as I settled down onto my presumably tightlyl pressed knees...reaching under my veils to scritch at a blemish, cursing the veils and how sweaty I was. When out of the blue A Man came in, yarded me up by m'arm and shoved me agains the wall and told me that there were NO UGLY PEOPLE ON GOR. ~*laughs*~
I may have suggested he must not have read the books.

Free or slave I have loved the story telling. That moment when I am allowed to set a spark of my soul free and see what it becomes.

If I could play with anyone again, I would give anything to play with La'ban again.
