IRIDIA settled with the last dregs of her soda when the topic shift, taking a much more easy seat where she used the laid napkins from earlier to clean off the table, folding the stained paper into a rough facsimile of a large, wrinkled, dirty origami crane.

"Sentiment is the one thing some machine can't generate, some clever Engi can't make with spare parts, some datamancer can't fake. It's logical to cherish it."

And naturally, her response was bittersweet. For every joy that someone else flourished, it was only natural to draw comparisons. A girl could be jealous. A person could be a girl-shaped receptacle constructed entirely out of different flavors of jealousy.

"…mmhm," And a shrug to accompany. It was a trash answer and she knew it, but she didn't know how to speak the Cure-Code to disengage your heat-seeking concern.

"I'm convincing myself I don't care," she finally relented. "…like about all the secrets or mystery. Maybe it's okay to just run with it, uh… like to take this as a second shot. It's a reckless way to go, but it's better than being my own prisoner just worrying about it. So yeah, that's how I'm doing."
