The Pani saw how she took her place so easily falling asleep almost immediately. He then realized that he had found the girl in time to save her from her turmoil. A soft smile touched his lips at the thought of her vulnerability and how it invoked the feeling to protect and shield. It was strange for him as he would not gather responsibility finding it easier to be alone.

He lay there listening to the sounds of the night, the fire was just a pile of glowing embers, he would not place a log on the fire instead they would share their body heat through the night so that their position is not compromised. He would rise well before first light and set off once more.
