Which style works best for you?

"If I have to get into a conflict I prefer P4P."

How do you prefer to handle disagreements in play?

"I prefer to handle them in play. In doing so in would depend on the disagreement. If it is something small, my character is more than likely going to let it go and walk away, she might mutter and grumble but ultimately it isn't worth the time. If it is something larger it depends on the avenues available to her as to how she would deal with it and the possible consequences. For instance, say it was a property dispute, she would likely take it to the head of the city or whatnot."

How does the player's own personal integrity and honor impact conflict resolution?

"It really depends on how much of you is in your character and how closely you relate the two. Some people separate themselves from their characters entirely. The sweetest person in RT who would not hurt a fly might play a mean-arsed drunken thief who would slit the throat of his own granny for a coin. For myself, I certainly influence my character to some degree and there are personal lines I simply will not cross in play because they bother me too much."

Does the slave have a voice in the OOC dispute to settle in char conflict?

"Yes. If it had to be brought to OOC for some reason and it involved that slave in some way then they have as much a voice as anyone else involved. A character we play is not the same as the people we are."

Are there other widely used formal combat rules out there that should be considered in this discussion? (Note, the Prodigy Spar system is for spars and not part of this discussion. Raids on homes too, have different rules of engagement. This is about handling a fight or disagreement in off the cuff play.)

"I have no idea honestly, I don't engage in fights usually if I can avoid it. I can't take down a guy unless it is pure luck, and unless I feel like battling an urt (which I might for comic relief) I just don't see much of a point unless necessary."

"In closing, in-character drama should remain in-character drama. Should it spill into OOC, that should involve discussion, not conflict."
