The orchestra I manage is having a house party which is in part, a fundraiser. One of our Board members has an enormous house and I presume a very large yard. Members of the orchestra are going to play chamber music all afternoon on a Saturday in September, and we'll be inviting family and friends as well as the approximately 60 people on our supporters mailing list. Anyway, she wants us to finish off with the full orchestra playing Edward Elgars "Serenade for String Orchestra". Our usual conductor will be out of town for the party...

...So I'll be conducting it. whoah. I've conducted it in a couple of rehearsals last summer but never in a performance. Yeah, I'm kind of excited. I love the piece. It's a solid challenge but I can do it. I downloaded the score a couple of days ago, time to start studying!

"Well, it's afternoon here where I am."

Hmm side effects hmmmm

the bottle didn't come quick enough for his frazzled state. being a legend is hard, eye candy is one thing, but maintaining his statue as the greatest lover was a burden at times. grabbing the neck of the bottle as he turns and tackles the stairs once more. moans come from above as he climbs the stairs, damn it, they started without him again. reaching the top and realizing the moans are not from his room but another patron of the bordello.

taking a long drink from the bottle before entering. opening the door, he notes a bruise on his lower thigh, the obvious consequence of poor aim perchance. he steps inside the arena of love and brandishes his weapon of choice. for those about to sigh, he salutes you.
