Did you know there's a prayer called the "I Don't Know Prayer?" You just go somewhere quiet and you sit at the feet of God and you say "I don't know." I don't know where to go from here... I don't know what's happening... I don't know how to process this... I don't know what to do with these emotions... I don't know how to handle this situation... And then with whatever little grain of faith you have, you say, "but You know." And you leave it there! God most certainly hears your prayer.

True. Almost everything was set in New York or Los Angeles in the 90s and 2000s.

They have a variant of the black widow down there called the redback and I think they have the brown recluse, I'd have to double check.
Snakes, mostly rattlers or some of those wicked bayou mocassins?

Well, New York is so famous that it's easy to find enough resources about the place to pretend well.

It's only the last few years that that kind of information has really exploded for other places too, especially on YouTube.

Uh huh, my first encounter with one was hilarious. I'm riding my bike, car swerves lady rushes out crying that there's a huntsman.
It was classic..."don't worry lady I'm a biologist..."

Oh a huntsman, after getting permission to enter her car I went right to it....

It was just the remnants of a molt. So I soothed her down and on my way, had to wait to see a real one on another day.

I have no idea. I want to say there was an Anitaverse set in Boston at one point...but I can't be certain.

Everyone always goes with New York for the East Coast settings, which makes my Honorary Bostonian blood boil.

Oh yeah, and do check out some of the literature/videos on them. Astonishing creatures. They were the ones that were on that Israeli(?) spaceship that crashed into the moon. People wondered if they would survive but apparently the G force of a moon crash would be enough to take them down.

It was unbearably hot and humid this time. Never going in July again. But I do want to go in October next time and swing up to Salem for Halloween-type stuff.

Food is great, people are great, sights are great, the beer is great.

I'm trying to think if anyone has ever done a realm set in Boston.

I just looked up the tardigrade, they are funny looking.

Nods. When I was down under I had the pleasure of seeing the world's largest cockroaches along with a vast array of huge and wonderful insects and arthropods, centipedes, spiders you get the idea.

Darn dangerous too.

Oooh, yeah, there are a lot of cool things to do out there. I've never been to Boston (especially not in the fall) but the whole east coast is just full of cool history.

I agree, roaches will also always be around.
