It is wonderful that you know so much of your family history. Neither of my parents shared much with us. I think some people just wanted to escape their circumstances and assimilate into America as best and fast as possible. Lots left behind.

I have a friend who is direct descendent of Dr Joseph Warren. She says she could care less but I'm rather doubtful that she means it. Warren was a pivotal figure in the Revolution. I'd be loud and proud were I her.
