We got the orchids on Mother's Day, still in pot, watered as I said, two ice cubes on Sunday, and dang, I don't have much knoweledge about orchids, uuuuuh, but I can drive a golf cart and kid your fine self.

The orchids are naked, what a discerning eye you have, they are only watered with two ice cubes on Sundays, and just wallow in their nakedness the whole rest of the week.

…only to suddenly break character into a bashful giggle, grabbing the table's rim to edge her chair inwards.

That was supposed to be a big deal, by the way. Qalli lowered the menu with a nibble of her lower lip. "I'm not sure what to get that's not— like cornbread still has butter, right?"

And cole slaw has mayo which has eggs, and the peach cobbler has cream, and—

"Oh, okay they have some salad and vin, fruit…"

She returned the menu after a glance over the rest of it, like by context her eyes naturally slid over to the fur, quirking her lips. "But you can't blame me for wondering if it was fake, like your profile was just created and looked pretty barren, almost like you were trying to fly under the radar or something?"

"I'm glad things are going well for you. I got a check today that had to do with unclaimed assets from my mom after her death. It's been 5 years, but hey, better late than never I suppose. I had planned on setting aside some money this month, and I was actually going to be hurting because of that, but with this new boon, I will be just fine."
