Happy Father’s Day to those of us with a weak pullout game.

My dad could make the perfect imitation of the coo-ahh coo coo coo call of a mourning dove. Such a gracious, generous, humble gentleman. He so enjoyed doing it.

I almost never hear that bird where I live. But sitting on my front porch, having coffee this morning before going to Sunday services, I heard one as clear as a bell.

I don't really think that was a coincidence.
