Back in black, as they say. Lorilei@soe arrives here, dressed in dark clothing and a face that shows much exposure to sea air and wind, and useful, dark-shaded clothing and boots, a saber hangs at her side, befitting a proper privateer, which is always preferred over "pirate".

The first mate of The Slippery Sloop claims the somewhat wide path through the dinning crowd , many of whom remember her last visit here, and moves to the bar.

Coming in through the kitchen and making her way towards the table in the back. She had her books in hand, she had to go through them thoroughly. Not having had enough time to do it, and with Abella having given her the duties back, she has to make sure she goes through them.

Mia hurrying behind the girl with a steaming cup of hot coffee, a thank you to the woman before her nose turned down to scan the pages in front of her

My dad could make the perfect imitation of the coo-ahh coo coo coo call of a mourning dove. Such a gracious, generous, humble gentleman. He so enjoyed doing it.

I almost never hear that bird where I live. But sitting on my front porch, having coffee this morning before going to Sunday services, I heard one as clear as a bell.

I don't really think that was a coincidence.
