NCPD
"Corporate Immunity.""Step aside."
He flashes a handheld screen with Bargain Brigg's policy on it. The price tag puts it into a category known as Platinum. That thief. The one who fired on cops. The one who is currently having a heart attack on cell smuggled drugs. He's going to walk out, or carried, of here free because that's how it works.
The young initial responders on his side don't fully get what's going on. They still have their guns up.
The NCPD officers watched too many NUSA cop dramas and think their law means anything against corporate cash.
He stands there, policy in hand and view.
"Step aside, officers."
Firm. Cool. Like a man who had his guts shredded two weeks ago and lived through it.
The younger officers finally relay the info to their Precinct inside. The higher ups verify that yes, this happens.
The NCPD officers outside the precinct, bitterly, lower their weapons and step aside. They learn a lesson that all the old grizzled officers also learned, and hate.

Sebastian hears them over the microphone enhanced speakers on either side."Trauma Team! Step aside and allow access to the patient or we will open fire!"
"Stand down! NCPD!"
It goes back and forth. He sees one of the NCPD officers swap their mag to one with red tape. On the street, these often cue a use of AP ammunition.
Updated orders from Trauma Team have not yet come.
NCPD is not backing down.
Sebastian steps out of the vehicle, no weapon drawn because he's just the surgeon. He walks out towards the first team, and the NCPD squad, where tension is so thick it could be cut with a monofilament blade.
He can tell immediately that these are hot heads on both sides. Younger professionals. Twenties. They both think they're right, and they're all not willing to back down. Trauma Team firing on cops is a bad look. NCPD firing on medics is a bad look. Bargain Briggs is not worth it.
But he's a Trauma Team employee. This isn't his free clinic. He's not the boss and can't be impartial here. He does have rank on most everyone on Trauma Team, but it's fuzzy when it comes to the pilots and security officers.
He walks directly towards the NCPD squad with his hands out to his sides.
He's about to make their day a lot worse and make himself feel even dirtier.
He's going to use two words that the NCPD hate, the newbies don't fully understand, and highlights what he hates most about corporate medicine.

NCPD
Sebastian returned from medical leave. He was cleared to get back on the roster and surgical rotation. It was expected that he'd show higher signs of post traumatic symptomology following having his midsection blown in with explosive splinters, but after a botched surgery that turned into a mixed blessing of cybernetic and synthetic intestinal replacements, he came in and passed his appointment for reinstatement with flying colors. A little harder. A little more on edge. But he wasn't falling apart. He comes down in the second back up AV. His team of five are also here for the extraction as support. Two pilots, two security professionals with the big guns, and two EMTs, of which he is considered the lead.
As the sliding door of the aerial vehicle opens to the scene, everyone is on high alert. Nobody took this job to shoot at cops.
This escalated so fast that the netrunning corporate liaisons to the NCPD have not even begun to deescalate. This is the first team shouting at the squad outside the facility. Both sides are getting itchier with their trigger fingers.
Something needs to happen now, or the shootout over some waste of space is going to cost the lives of professionals.
puppet(BD).. good to see you too, sweetheart!
NCPD
Something is wrong at Precinct 7. It's one of the smaller facilities in North City. A biomonitor transmission sent out a code to Trauma Team headquarters for retrieval. Doug "Bargain" Briggs is currently detained for larceny, breaking and entering, and firing on NCPD vehicles. He's also in heart failure due to slamming Black Lace under his tongue for a good time before being taken in.By the time the first Trauma Team AV came, he was red flagged across all their visors, and the precinct would not let the team in. Trauma Team does extractions. They don't do jailcell visits and politely leave. Bargain Briggs has a high six figure policy.
This lead to a stand off outside of Precinct 7. A small squad of NCPD officers, guns drawn, against an AV team that just called for backup. Both are following exactly what their basic training tells them to do.
It's about to get cops and medics killed.
Thats fair
