Since I have a router table (highly recommended) I was given a decorative mold trim bit by a friend who ordered the wrong bit.
Wasn't sure what I was going to do with but tried it on a jewelry box I was making. It worked great for making decorative sides.
Key to ususing one is to make multiple passes.

You can also use them for making fancy picture frames.
Not all mold trim bit need to be used for just making mold trim.
