"Xavier," Te'Sirian began, his tone steady and reassuring, "I understand your immediate thoughts, but let me assure you, this situation has nothing to do with Dumitru or Lady Cadhla. They are not involved in any of this."

He took a deep breath, gathering his thoughts before continuing. "The problem started a few months ago. There have been sightings and attacks, mainly in the outskirts of the village. We've lost a few good people, and it's been a struggle to keep everyone safe."

Te'Sirian's expression hardened as he continued, "We've increased patrols and set up additional defenses around the village.
