Alejandro arrives via that large (almost overcompensating if not for the legit need of such a beast) truck that pulls up next to your rover. Towering over it, the door opens with a single empty parking spot separating the two vehicles, and yielding aforementioned Spaniard as the door opens and he hops down.

He's got on a tactical vest, and otherwise wearing apparel appropriate for such a location if one were inclined to utilize the facilities here and not simply meet up with someone for some otherwise shady? .. deal.

Which implies Alejandro will be here even after business concludes, and again which should not surprise you in the slightest.
While contact has been low for some time, it was never down to zero, and things had to be handled. Especially when he noticed some of his stock missing and put together what happened via security system.

Music likewise cease as he turns off his engine.. and yes, his tastes are not just spanish music, he'll have you know! Plus, he's pretty sure Lilou likes this song as well.

"Hola, chica."

Alejandro doesn't go to his tarp-covered trunk just yet, instead coming over to you to size you up briefly and then glance at the open trunk of the Rover.

"Got something for me, Holly Blanc?" A familiar grin creases his lips

Deadeye Gun Range
Call it a bit of culture, in a backwards American sense, to congregate around a place to handle lethal implements. One of the few places where The Palisades's meager wealth actually seems a little out of place for how well-used yet well-kept the premises is, buried deep in Edgewater and veneered behind the low taste of barely-finished exteriors giving the impression of a poorly-kept business where an ambiguous amount of money must be regularly changing hands between citizens near and fear and their means of arming themselves.

Totally legally, mind you.

In the back, locals are putting rounds through their personal hardware, under recessed and hardened lighting and through paper targets, behind which an angled berm deflects ricochets harmlessly into the battered lead-trench in the back.

Regular pops of various character drum a soundtrack of ordered chaos as the spikes in volume played well-muted behind the battery-powered hearing protection worn over her head in a perilous sacrifice for the vanity of her hair.

There was absolutely no hope of hearing her phone in this space, but she could feel it buzzing against her from where it was strapped to her upper arm on a velcro band.

"…"

Whatever she mumbled to herself was lost in the staccato bangs of other people using the range and she safed the rifle, dismounted the magazine and left the bolt locked back before resting it on the table where she was, next to a box of steel-cased 7.62, half-empty.

…and then just left it where it was, like this was her home-away-from-home and there was an invisible understanding that you don't mess with Holly's stuff.

The text seemed to imply Alejandro Milan was on his way — actually minutes or seconds away, even, which meant she was circling back through the gun shop and out to the parking lot to go open the trunk of the Rover.

Music from the SUV's system rumbled dully across the rain-damp and cracked asphalt as she waited to see the Spaniard's truck split the early evening's gloam.

back in pre-9/11 days, if we picked up a bunch of souvenirs...especially large or oddly shaped (like my tricorn hat from Williamsburg)...we'd buy a cheap trunk at Walmart and send it home on the train or by Greyhound...can't do that now...
