He didn't want to look at you. He could see the life within your eyes, stocked full from your time away from here, away from him. Full and bursting. He knew, it carried with your every time you'd come back from rehearsal. Life, spilling over. Splattering it's contents every which way you tilted your head, offered your gaze. Your smile was brighter, your step lighter, your eyes... bluer.

Wrong. Brix knows all about saving the money-maker. Without another word he stops what he was doing to turn and fill the teapot from the Rangetop under the sink. And then a spin around as the 'clickclickclick' leads to fire under claw-like grate. He sets the teapot on to boil and moves to grab the honey out of the pantry closet.

That is set down on the counter next to a mug, and he goes back to grinding his weed.

"Ah. Yeah. Seems like a scene you'd want to rehearse again."

Deadpan delivery, as he opens the little grinder and taps the flower bud into the angled paper. His rolling technique nothing to sneeze at. Including the grabbing of a chopstick out his silverware drawer to pack the joint down and add a little crutch at one end.

Licking it as he tightens the paper on itself, a gentle twist at both ends to complete the exercise. Tasks were good.

"James."

He said in response to your question about which type of J he was rolling.

The J is set down as the teapot begins it's attempt to whistle. The snap of the fire going out and the pour of hot liquid on the thicker, viscous puddle of Honey.

He stirs with that same chopstick, and slides the mug to the edge of the Island closest to you, and then grabs his bottle of water, upends it and uses the scissors to gently twist a hole in it's bottom.
