OOOOOOOOOOOOKAY, well July was fast-fleeing, wasn't it? What a terrible, terrible thing.
Let's rewind to just past the hottest part of the day.

Leo Sterling's birthday was back on Wednesday, but hey nothing ever happened until the weekend so let's not fret over the delay.

Holly had called in a few favors just to help build the atmosphere a bit — Ty-Ty, Gay Tyler, weed man and local party bus enjoyer had set up his converted school bus with a roof rack veritably festooned with audio equipment.

Who knew half these people. Holly didn't either, because all Holly Blanc parties were open to the public. It was a completely different vibe compared to her own birthday party in the Palisades — instead this didn't have the faint background hint that it was on the wrong side of the tracks. Instead, it was sunny and bright and a breeze contrasted the glow of the sun and the usual rap was replaced with plucky pop music.

It carried well over the sandy updraft shaping the beachfront and carrying the mill of people who congregated lightly around the area.

Some food trucks that normally circulate around Edgewater were also parked in their designated food truck areas nearer the walking path, and while a few people were vibin to the music most people were just using it as a backdrop to enjoy frisbee, volleyball, or just sunning around the area.
