Well technically, Holly didn't know for certain if Talia was also Poly or if she was just interested in Leo Sterling singularly! But yeah, they can't communicate psychically.

If anything, though, Holly believed that she caught a look, whether she was mistaken or not, and she offered a waggle of her eyebrow in response.

As she did, though, her gaze turned back to Leo Sterling. "Well don't let me make promises on his behalf, but knowing how Ouroboros works and how Dylan sounded excited about adding accolades to the label's collection? I sincerely think there's a good chance he works with you — if you're brave enough to take his hand?"

OKAY, so she was gassing Leo up a bit.

"Oooh, a puppy? Oh yeah I guess if you were allergic you'd have reacted to being over at my mom's house."

Holly sat with her cake, though, enjoying the visual treat of the galaxy swirl icing on the otherwise glossy black space-themed top.

A slight sigh.

"It would be a lot easier. Ah well. Things... aren't always easy."

She nodded as you told her about Cashew. She knew he was your "home" dog. You used to bring him to the beach when you were out here. She thought she'd ask after him. She liked Cash.

"Oh, wow, noted." He considers. "I mean, if he knows people, and is game to produce? That would be pretty cool. I know you said dream shows, but like.. there's a couple of really small productions I'd really love to do."

A nod, and a small, warm smile. "Sweet, thanks, Holl. I'd like to know him better. He... helped tonight, without even meaning to."

He blinks. "No, I love dogs, I'm good with them. I think Talia is, she joked about getting me a puppy?"

She shook her head no.

"If it were easy. It wouldn't be worth it in the end. There's no handbook or secret handshake. It'd be a lot easier if there were."

Yeah, she looked. The girl's cute. She'd admit it if she were asked.

She's also aware she's with Leo. You told her that. So she's off limits. Doesn't mean she couldn't look.

"Dylan Bode does not make empty promises, darling — not that he promised, but he really does love to see people succeed."

Leaving out the part that that includes her, with her illicit ambitions.

Her eyes flickered between you and V. Vander as you guys exchanged words.

"Don't feel pressured about it, he's not relying on you he's just a supportive kind of personality. It's what made him found Ouroboros, too. Oh! There's also his quiet partner in the biz, Link. I'll forward you his info, too…"

Holly turned to glance at V. Vander again. "Cashew? I think freakin' Wally and Mom has him at home? I woulda brought him out but I wasn't sure who was allergic or not and I forgot to ask Leo — are you allergic to dogs? Talia?"

Returns, taking a moment to read the echos.

She'd looked around for the dog. Usually if you were on the beach you had Cash. Hell, she'd have liked to see him. She'd been thinking about getting a dog herself, but she's never home enough .

She noticed how the mood changed when she'd arrived. Looking as both Dylan and Talia had left and you even went quieter because she called you out on outting someone. She didn't yell, just made a point to you.

Out or not it's that person's story to tell. That's how she feels about it.

Now that they've served cake for most other folks, they're finally taking a piece for themself.

They try to not look disappointed, when you say you can't poing them anywhere. "I guess that's fair. I was kind of hoping there were, I don't know, resources, but... it's all so personal, that makes sense."

Nothing ever is that simple. They've figured that much out.

"I guess that makes sense, too."

"You think he was serious about that?" Blinking, a little stunned.

"He seemed really sincere about reaching out, so like... I will. I feel like I need to spend time thinking about projects, if I want to do a real collab."

Keeping on theme, she left it to Leo to answer instead of answering on their behalf, but in her defense she had a hand over her heart as the cake was distributed to partygoers.

Tyler laughed and waved merrily from the makeshift DJ booth, which wasn't really a full DJ setup but it let him manage the pop music playlist.

The King twins, of course they remembered the pink haired athlete and waved back from where they were scarfing down their own cake, macros be damned.

Speaking of twins, Holly turned to pout-again at Talia Amin.

"Oh noooo, I hope they feel better—Oh!" Hazard pay? She did hear that working around children mean you get sick all the time as a result.

"Alright, have a safe trip Talia! It was nice to meet you!"

Leo Sterling gets a return of his wry look, though Holly couldn't keep a straight face because she broke into a giggle as she tried to pick out maybe… mmmm, let's do a square of that galaxy chocolate cake!

"Alright, well I'll tell ya what, I'm excited about a possible collab with Dylan or anyone at Ouroboros or maybe just a cool star-power connection he might make for you, you know? He knows a lot of resourceful people."
