Holly had withdrawn a brush and mirror from her bag, in one of the chairs with the handle of the mirror pinched between her knees as she got to brushing, occasionally trading glances between you and the mirror.

"Hm?" She slowed to a stop, arms up mid-brush with brows raised, a hair tie dangling from in-turned lips. She released it, though, to send it tumbling off her top and into her lap. "I was going to ask you the same thing — you seemed more uncomfortable than I am, in all honesty…"

Was that a challenge? Well no — in the interest of the stageplay, Holly felt like hiding her opinions was only going to slow their progress as they hurtled toward opening night in a couple of weeks. With you and Elodie as the professionals in the equation, any break in your confidence would reflect in a stymie of her progress, and her progress as the weakest link in the chain was essential to shore up, or at least in her opinion anyway.

But Holly… thrived under pressure, like that was the best way to extract the best from her, and throughout the rehearsal she didn't seem to care about how the scene was playing, whose hand was where, how things were supposed to look. Perhaps it was some nascent professionalism on her part, or perhaps a vague psychological detachment from embarrassment or modesty, like whatever they were depicting here she's done worse in public at some club or immortalized to her humiliation online.

"I mean it's like I said: You don't have to worry about offending me or anything, just let it rip for the stageplay and worry about anything else later…"
