While she's much more used to this side of the table than you, the surreal feeling is still there. Because it's hers. Not someone else's play or a famous work she's getting ready to help put on, but her own. Her creation that these people are auditioning to join.As you reach out to steal a bite, she tips the container slightly so you can see what you're stealing. A little nod as you agree with her.
Is that weird or what? That she made it felt real? That she seemed to picture what I pictured?
Having someone who matches vision with you is definitely the dream. A dream she wasn't trying to place too much weight on this time. It's a small production, she can't expect the world.
Whatever she was about to say is lost when you offer her a bite, leaning in to snag it from your chopsticks.
It still doesn't feel quite like it's really happening. Like maybe I'm asleep.
Then again, her dreams have been about this play for some time. Both sleeping ones and the kind that come when she's awake. Lifting another bite from her container to her mouth, she startles a little when her phone gives a bubbly little twinkle. Her phone that is not on the floor with them, but back at the table they've been seated behind most of the day.
Still chewing, she plunks everything down and moves to her feet, heading over to turn off the alarm. Able to swallow by the time she does.
Seems it's time to open up the doors again.
Padding back over to you, she leans down to steal a kiss, lingering there for three seconds before squatting to gather up her things, closing the takeout container with her chopsticks sticking out of it and sweeping the pile of papers up with the other hand as she makes her way back to the table, stepping back into the heels she'd abandoned when the last audition had ended as she does.
Ready?
Asked with her back to you as she tucks takeout containers back into the paper bag with cardboard in the bottom, folding it over a few times to close it back up.
Heading up the steps of the serving wagon, she slipped inside to use the wash basin to clean her hands.

*well hello there leg strength! chuckling inwardly as I feel the pressure as you squeezed and feeling you press up and then fall back down to lay fully on the blanket as you gushed for me, lapping quickly at your sweet juices to gather as much as I could and not stopping until I felt as if I’d gathered as much as I could for my own….a grin as I lifted my head slightly to look at you before lifting a hand to wipe at my mouth before crawling up over your body and kissing you softly on the lips*What do you think Meredith?
Should this become a regular event?
*grinning down at you*

He gathered several of his bravest men together. Tips of reed have been broken off there was one small one. He held them together in his clamped fist and told them to choose. They each drew from the reeds in his hand and one rencer came up with the short one.
