Though he would agree that the audition is going well. He's having more fun with you than he had with anyone else, certainly.

Eyes widen in alarm - he was just following the blocking, fully had not meant to pull you off-balance.

You start to fall and he's already got a hand holding yours. There's a more deliberate tug, this time, to slow your descent so that he can move in close to wrap his free arm around your waist, supporting you, holding you up - he lets go of your hand then, to wrap that arm around you too, to make sure he isn't going to accidentally drop you.

It all happens in a flash, and now they're in some kind of parody of a dip, with his arms wrapped tightly around you, holding you upright. "Shit, Holly, you okay?"

You didn't even pull hard, it was just a slip of her memory for the blocking of the scene, and she fumbled mid-step in the re-join of the dance and…

…Holly's noise of alarm was that of a Squawk. Like a bird that just got seized unexpectedly as her footing gave out!

On your cue, he is ready to spin you. His eyes move from you, to the bridesmaid, and back again, waiting for your assessment.

It's not his fault you're still moping about Nate, and don't want him to do this for you. He would. You say she'll do, and that's enough for him. "Cool."

Even as he says it, he's lightly tugging you close to resume the dance while they plot.

"Ready? One, two three…"

Holly's hand left your side, she stepped outside of your cadence and lifted their joined hand to perform a little spin, happening to step and pause so she could look out towards the imaginary Braids-Maid.

…and in that short pause, she stared as though they were grocery shopping and evaluating avocados, using the exterior shell of Alice the cool unaffected girl simply helping out her old pal Ben in his quest for lewd, flappy hand-gestures indicating him 'doing his thaaang'… you know?

"Yeah. Yeah, she'll do."

The look you get is softer version of the fond exasperation from earlier, head shaking a little at you even as his eyes dip, ever so briefly to the lip-bite.

You walk a fine line, and you walk it well.

The ad lib as him chuckling, but then, Ben would chuckle too. Brows lift a little at the proposed dance move, before he shrugs and gives a nod. "Okay."
