It kind of was. Placing your fate in the hands of others, at the very least.

A cant of his head, a silent 'you okay?' in the gesture. He doesn't know you uwell, but still, his hand reaches to give your shoulder a reassuring pat.

"Awesome! Yeah, this is from Plus One, the one you're auditioning for. The scene is basically the two leads are dancing together, and are using that to scope out hotties for Ben to maybe date. Alice is the ultimate wing woman. They've been friends since college and have been pretty solid in that. The scene gives you a vibe for their friendship, that then leads into the romantic relationship."

He pauses, offering you a grin. "Or you can catch your breath. You're our last audition today. So if you need a minute, please, take one."

With one last glance toward the Man, she padded softly after the Mistress - hoping her chores weren't to clean up slave livers again this night

Wow, was this what it was like to kinda let your fate slip out of your control for even one femtosecond?

Holly seemed a little dizzy, a little out-of-sorts, suddenly introspective for a few seconds while yours seemed to… eventually… reach her.

"Hm?" she asked, absent of that neurotic energy she was channeling a second ago. "O-Okay…?"

Holly nodded eagerly, her bright red nails fidgeting ceaselessly with the paper in her hands for a second before she finally stepped off of the mark, her gaze fixating to you for a second as she nodded again, absorbing the protocol.

"Alright that sounds good! From the production — Elodie's production, right, the one you're working on?" suddenly self-conscious about the state of her hands, she at least made up some of the distance between them as you grabbed papers.

"Oh wait right now?"
